Peter Waals worked along side and for Ernest Gimson and the Barnsley brothers in the Cotswold’s, embracing the essence of the Arts and Crafts ideals that were being promoted by Gimson and the Barnsley’s from the early quarter of the 20th Century. Waals’s work is thought to be the best in quality terms than all the makers of that period.
