Paul Matt was its chief designer and cabinet maker. During the 1930s he set down plans for a furniture production factory. His designs gave the furniture its distinctive style with bevels being regularly used to give a rounded style and to disguise the use of plywood. The design had a simple and minimal appearance, reflecting Quaker philosophy
