E.A. Cox (1876-1955) was a poster artist, muralist and book illustrator. He was elected to the Royal Society of British Artists in 1915, the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour in 1921 and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters in 1923. He was also a member of the Society of Graphic Art.

He was known to have assisted Sir Frank Brangwyn and he had a long standing friendship with Albert James Rowley. He designed posters and panels for the Rowley Gallery amongst others and was highly renowned for his skilled art work.
